Kidz Banz Sunglasses are designed in Australia for one of the world's toughest UV environments.  They are clinically tested to exceed Australian Standards and are endorsed by the Cancer Council of Australia.

This product has a super tough, shatter-resistant, 100% polycarbonate lens and frame.  The lenses are UV400 which have special filters that provide 100% protection against UVA and UVB (UVB has been implicated as the major cause of cataracts) rays.  The lenses meet the requirements of BSEN:1836.  Did you know that until approximately 8-9 years of age a child has no filters in the eye to block out UV light?  You can actually do MORE harm to the eye if you put an inferior lens in front of the eye!  Behind tinted lenses, the iris opens to allow more light into the eye; if the lens doesn't protect properly, and more UV light gets into the eye potentially damaging the child's eye.  Baby Banz can be fitted with prescription lenses.

The unique neoprene band matches the colour of the sunglasses, allows for flexibility, breath ability and are comfortable for your child. Manufactors suggest that you should introduce Baby Banz to infants by slipping them over their heads and let them get used to them while going for a walk in the pram.  Older children should try the glasses on for the first time when they are outside in bright sun.  Having adults modelling wearing sunglasses and other sun protection items encourages youngsters also.
